Stockyard District

The Stockyard District was established in 1871 before it's closure in 1991.  At its' peak year of 1923,  this 55 acre district saw over two million cattle pass through.  The Stockyard was closed in 1991 but has since become an entertainment district compete with a winery, restaurants, and now the Hy-Vee Arena.
